After Jin-Hyeok tells Soo-Hyun that he missed her, she gets a bit taken back. Soo-Hyun wants to keep a little distance between herself and Jin-Hyeok. But Jin-Hyeok aggressively keeps coming at her. After they finish eating, Jin-Hyeok still doesn’t want to leave the company of Soo-Hyun and asks her out for a cup of coffee. While drinking coffee he falls asleep on So-Hyun’s shoulder. When he is sleeping, Soo-Hyun starts talking about not having many friends growing up because of her mother. She further talks about having to distance herself from others. That is the reason she doesn’t want to get close to him because the pain later will be far bigger when they have to separate.

Woo-Seok who was waiting for Soo-Hyun at the hotel decides to leave. Just as he was going out he sees Soo-Hyun and Jin-Hyeok coming together. After Jin-Hyeok leaves Soo-Hyun goes to meet the artist but she is still in hiding. Woo-Seok is following Soo-Hyun. He finds out the location of the artist and meets her. She tells him it could be a problem if she gives the painting to Soo-Hyun because his mother is her sponsor. Woo-Seok starts talking about his trip with Soo-Hyun when they were still married. He tells her that how uncomfortable the trip was. But Soo-Hyun still followed the rough route because she wanted to travel the way the artist did. This impresses the artist and looks like she is going to meet Soo-Hyun.

The artist calls Soo-Hyun and tells her to take the painting and she won’t take money for it. Her reason being it is a service for her fan and talks to Soo-Hyun about her trip. Woo-Seok tells his mother to leave Soo-Hyun alone and she doesn’t seem happy with his rebellion. Jin-Hyeok returns home and in the flashback, we see he was not asleep when Soo-Hyun was talking about her past. Jin-Hyeok’s brother and his friend think he is dating someone. Soo-Hyun’s secretary meets Woo-Seok and tells him that him going to Sokcho has made Soo-Hyun uncomfortable. He in returns tells her to give the message to Soo-Hyun that she should be more careful as many eyes are on her.

Hye-In is still suspicious about the relationship between Soo-Hyun and Jin-Hyeok. While at work Jin-Hyeok finds out the birthdate of Soo-Hyun because it is same as one of the employee. Mi-Jin meets Mr.Nam and gets angry at him when she finds out that he drove Jin-Hyeok to Sokcho. Mr.Nam tells Mi-Jin that she should be happy because the smile is back on Soo-Hyun’s face because of Jin-Hyeok. Soo-Hyun meets the artist and tells her that she can’t take her painting anymore because it’s burdensome. After work Soo-Hyun gets into a little fender-bender while looking at Jin-Hyeok who was waiting for his bus. Jin-Hyeok comes up to her and deals with the situation. He also drives her and gives her a birthday gift. At first, she denies the gift but accepts it before leaving. Which brings the smile to both of their faces.

Hye-In gets a call and meets Woo-Seok’s mother’s assistant. He tells her to write about Soo-Hyun and Jin-Hyeok on company bulletin board. She denies to do it and he shows her the picture of the couple at Sokcho. Mi-Jin arrives at Soo-Hyun’s place to celebrate her birthday. She gets a headache when she gets all the information about Soo-Hyun’s accident and the birthday gift from Jin-Hyeok. Mi-Jin wants her to keep a distance from Jin-Hyeok. Next day, Mi-Jin meets Jin-Hyeok at his friend’s restaurant. She tells him to stop involving himself with Soo-Hyun as it will affect Soo-Hyun badly. After listening to her he tells her that he will not cause problems for Soo-Hyun because of his feelings. Hye-In sees both of them together.

Coming Out

Next day someone writes about Soo-Hyun using her title to harass a “weak employee” of the hotel. It further says that the employee is unable to stop her advances because of the risk of losing his job. Hye-In is not the one who wrote this on the hotel website bulletin but another employee from her and Jin-Hyeok’s team did. Woo-Seok’s mother meets an executive of the hotel and wants to remove Soo-Hyun from her position. Woo-Seok also wants to find out who wrote the article. Everyone at the hotel is gossiping about the article. The executive from earlier confronts Soo-Hyun at the hotel entrance in front of all the employees. He wants to know about the guy in the photo. He further makes remarks regarding her character. Jin-Hyeok unable to control himself comes out in front of everyone and asks Soo-Hyun out for a date at the convenience store. She gives him a smile.

Thoughts

Another amazing episode with things really starting to pick up in every direction. Romance, Hatred, Jealousy, Scheming, and Friendship all nearly reaching their peaks. That smile at the end shows that Soo-Hyun who was holding herself back has also decided to loose free. She is going to stop caring about others and will stay true to her feelings. All the scheming by the evil mother-in-law is just bringing Soo-Hyun closer to Jin-Hyeok. Woo-Seok is also doing his best to help Soo-Hyun. I am not sure how long can he keep it up. He may turn to his mother’s tactics because of his jealousy. Mr. Nam still the only one to fully support them. From the preview, it looks like Mi-Jin will also be joining his ranks soon.

Now coming to a small issue that bothered me. After the accident Jin-Hyeok drives her to his home rather than dropping her at her house. If you are going offer to drive for somebody after their accident you will either drive them to the hospital or to their home depending on the injuries. You certainly will not drive them to your home and then tell them to drive themselves back. He not only got a free ride but increased the distance for her to drive. Which made his offer counter-productive in the first place. He could have easily driven her to her home and taken a taxi back. Better he could have stayed at her home making an excuse about caring for her or that he was tired. I know this is far fetched but I would have swallowed this scenario far better than the one we are shown.

Korean Drama Ratings October 29 to November 4, 2018

Halloween week is over and so does end of the run for few drama series. Here are Korean Drama Ratings for the period of Oct 29 to Nov 4.  100 Days My Prince ended with ratings over 14 as we expected. Other dramas from Mon-Tue. bracket lost them, viewers.  Bad Papa  did not air on Tuesday because of a baseball game. We have to see if  Mama and The Woodcutter will be able to keep these viewers. There is also a good chance that  Where Stars Land  comes out as the new leader. Terius Behind me kept also its lead and closely followed by much more interesting Heart Surgeons .  The Guest  and  The Ghost Detective both also aired their finales. The Guest got a very good rating of 4 whereas the ghost detective stayed around 2. The newcomer Fluttering Warning achieved 2 while The Smile Has Left Your Eyes went below 3.
