Encounter Episode 7 Recap

The Rebellion

After Soo-Hyun reveals her relationship status to the world her mother gets angry with her. She wants Soo-Hyun to ask forgiveness from Mrs Kim, Soo-Hyun tells her from now on she is going to live her own life. Soo-Hyun then meets Jin-Hyeok’s team as an excuse to see him. The team members understand the situation and leave both of them alone. Mrs Kim finds out that the reporter at the press conference was Mr Choi’s doing, she tells him to take care of Jin-Hyeok and get him fired. Next day at works Jin-Hyeok’s team members want to get “close” to him for some reason which he finds burdening. Later, Hye-In tells him that someone asked her to write the recently written article on bulletin board about Soo-Hyun. She further tells him she is not the one who wrote that article. Soo-Hyun’s night schedule gets cancelled so she plans a dinner date with Jin-Hyeok.

Oppa

Before their date, Woo-Seok meets Jin-Hyeok (budding friendship) to confirm that what Soo-Hyun said at the conference was true. Jin-Hyeok tells him it is true. Jin-Hyeok wonders why is he so curious to which Woo-Seok replies because he cares about Soo-Hyun as an “Oppa”. On their dinner date, Jin-Hyeok tells Soo-Hyun that he wants to stop Sseom relationship and wants to move on to the next stage, an actual relationship. They tell each other what they want to do on their upcoming date. Soo-Hyun receives a message that an emergency board of directors meeting will take place tomorrow. Elsewhere, Mrs Kim wants to start a legal fight with Soo-Hyun on the basis of her divorce agreement. At the directors meeting, Soo-Hyun tells them that her personal life will not affect the hotel business.

The Transfer

Mr Choi meets Jin-Hyeok and tells him that his scandal is causing issues for Soo-Hyun professionally. He further tells him that he will be relocated to the newly opened Sokcho branch so that he doesn’t cause further issues for Soo-Hyun. After the work, Jin-Hyeok drives Soo-Hyun back home (Mr Nam makes an excuse and leaves Jin-Hyeok to drive). Soo-Hyun’s mother forces her husband to go and meet Mrs Kim, where he founds the leader of the opposition party is also there. Mrs Kim wants both parties to merge to which he denies. She further threatens her with Soo-Hyun as an excuse but he still leaves. While Jogging Jin-Hyeok ends up in Soo-Hyun’s neighbourhood and meets her. They enjoy some tea and take some pictures together.

Elsewhere, Woo-Seok breaks up with the lady he was seeing, he gives her a departing gift but she doesn’t take it. Jin-Hyeok tells his parents that he has been transferred to the Sokcho branch. Soo-Hyun who is on a business trip doesn’t know that Jin-Hyeok has been transferred. Hye-In upset with the news calls Soo-Hyun (using her team leader phone) and tells her about Jin-Hyeok’s transfer. Soo-Hyun gets furious with the situation and immediately returns to the hotel.

Thoughts

Well, well things are getting interesting, will she be able to stop his transfer? I don’t know about that but whatever Mrs Kim does she only brings the leading couple together. On the other hand, I feel really sorry for Woo-Seok, he divorced Soo-Hyun so that she can be happy after getting away from his mother. I think the same applies to him, if he wants to be happy in his life he will have to leave his toxic mother’s side. Whereas things are not going well for the Mrs Venom as well. She is losing control of her subordinates, Soo-Hyun is not scared of her anymore and Soo-Hyun’s father has also rebelled against her. The preview shows that the leading couple is getting more closer to each other. Are we finally going to get a Kiss in the next episode?
