ITEM Episode 2 Recap Visions of Future

In the previous episode, Kang-Gon (a prosecutor) starts to have visions in which he gains supernatural powers through a bracelet. Later, he meets a criminal who has those powers and the same bracelet. The criminal dies and the bracelet somehow ends up with Kang-Gon’s niece. Se-Hwang the owner of the bracelet and other supernatural items is furious when he founds out that the bracelet is stolen. Kang-Gon moves to Seoul after being transferred, he meets and saves So-Young (a criminal profiler) from the falling objects and sees her jumping off a building’s roof in one of his visions.

I Can See Your Death

Kang-Gon moves in the same building as So-Young, he saves her from falling stuff on his moving day. He tells her that he has seen her in his dream in which she dies. So-Young thinks he is crazy, her father arrives and he seems to have known Kang-Gon and his niece for a long time. He further invites him over for some food, Kang-Gon denies his offer because he is bust with moving to his new house (much to the pleasure of So-Young). Later, So-Young asks her father about Kang-Gon, he thinks she likes him. He tells her that the young girl is Kang-Gon’s niece and that Kang-Gon is taking care of her after the death of her parents. Elsewhere, Se-Hwang receives another photo from his supernatural polaroid about a new “ITEM”. Dong-Young kills the man who has the item (a cellphone) using his special whip.

Welcome Back, NOT!

Kang-Gon arrives at the Seoul prosecutors office, 3 years ago he interrogated Se-Hwang and got transferred because of it. Kang-Gon receives a call from Se-Hwan who congratulates Kang-Won for his return. Se-Hwang tells him that he must have learned his lesson now, he repeats the same thing to Se-Hwang. Kang-Gon is welcomed by Se-Young’s father to his new job, Se-Young’s father is Kang-Gon’s detective officer. Meanwhile, Dong-Young the supernatural assassin turns out to be a priest who has the item (a cellphone) now. Later, he kills another man (a chief prosecutor) related to the item, Se-Young and her team are in charge of the case. She finds a piece of paper which turns out to be from a bible in the dead man’s mouth.

Serial Killer?

Elsewhere, Kang-Gon is given the case by his senior and is told to find the culprit soon. Later, he receives the call from Da-In’s (his niece) babysitter, she tells him that she has to leave because of an emergency. Kang-Gon calls but her niece don’t pick up her phone, Se-Young finds her playing alone in the playground. She takes care of Da-In until Kang-Gon arrives, he thanks her for taking care of Da-In. Da-In is wearing the supernatural bracelet. Next day, Kang-Gon goes to the crime scene, while Se-Young receives the autopsy report of the chief prosecutor. The Chief prosecutor and Nam Chul Soon died from the same weapon. Kang-Gon finds out that at the time of the crime all CCTV stopped working, the official explanation is due to rain. But Kang-Gon thinks the criminal is behind all this.

The Game Has Just Begun

Kang-Gon finds out that some kind of supernatural phenomenon took place at the time of the crime. Kang-Gon finds Dae-Soo, the criminal from the previous episode which I thought died. He has gone crazy after losing his “ITEM” the bracelet. Dae-Soo successfully evades Kang-Gon and steals his wallet as well, which contains a photograph of Kang-Gon and his niece. In a flashback, we see that Se-Hwang was able to avoid prosecution because the witness killed himself. Se-Hwang tells Kang-Gon that it was not his doing, Kang-Gon replies to him that it is just the start and he will catch him. Back to the present looks like Dae-Soo has killed someone, Se-Hwang interest in Kang-Gon has been reignited.
